Rules of Conduct

We operate a youth-friendly track.  Respect is mandatory for all racers regardless of age or driving ability.

No foul language or unsportsmanlike conduct will be tolerated.

No alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs allowed on the premises.  Anyone found to be in possession of or under the influence of either will be asked to leave.

Pick up after yourself.  This is a club, not a track for profit.  Your cooperation is appreciated.

Vehicles are not to be run anywhere except on the track.

No transmitters on without a frequency clip.  Spektrum System radios do not need clips.

No reverse during a race. No driving backwards on the track.

Each racer must have at least two frequencies available.

Only racers may marshal cars during a race.

No open toed shoes while marshalling.

Marshall's must be at a marshalling cone after their race.

Nothing in your hands while you are marshalling.

All racers will be required to attend a pre-race drivers meeting.

If you are in violation of a rule, you will receive one warning. Next time you will be asked to leave. This is at the discretion of the race director and race officials.

Competition Rules

You must fill out an entry ticket for each class entered.

The length of Heats and Main will be 5 minutes.

Racers must be on time for their race. There will be 3 minutes between heats; the clock will not be stopped.

No yelling at Marshall's.

All nitro vehicles must have a fail-safe device installed, and it must be in working order.  Also, you must have a throttle return spring on the throttle servo.

All nitro fuel must be kept in a safe location.

Only sub-C size rechargeable batteries rated at 1.2 volts or less may be used for the motor power in electric vehicle racing (2006 ROAR Rule book 8.3.1)

Lipo’s are NOT allowed in any class.

Classes: Novice, 2WD Open, Stadium Truck Open, 4WD Open, Monster Truck, Arena Truck Open

Open means we will run these chassis classes together.  If there is a high enough number of entries for that class, the race director will assign them into heats based on motors.

Final results are determined based on your 4th round race. It is possible for someone that runs more laps in the B Main to finish higher than someone in the A Main.

Four entries make a class. In Novice, three entries make a class.

Make sure that you are capable (physically and experience-wise) to marshal your area.  If you have doubts, bring it to the attention of the race director.

Series Rules

In addition to competition rules, the following apply to Series races:

Classes: Novice, 2wd Stock, 2wd Modified, Stadium Truck Stock, Stadium Truck Modified, 4WD Modified, Arena Truck Open, Monster Truck Open, Stadium Truck Nitro, Spec Class

If a class is not run for two race days, that class will be dropped from the Series for 2007

We will not run nitro’s and electrics together, except open classes.

Spec Class Rules

The motor will be a rebuild able 19 Turn 24 Degree Fixed Timing motor.

The approved motor must be a tuned C2 motor by Team Brood. Contact Nathan for information.

If the Team Brood motor label is to be removed, contact a race official. The reason for the motor is to make it easier for people to know the motor is approved. If the label is removed, a race official will mark that the motor is legal.

No more than 6 cells will be allowed.

Spec tire for rear is Proline Step Pin or Team Losi Step Pin.

All points’ races will be scored the same as all other classes.

Any 2WD Buggy found to be illegal during any inspection will lose points for that event.

Vehicles will be started individually during the three qualifying rounds. The Main will be a mass start.

Qualifying positions for any one round will be determined based on laps and time.

The driver is scored, not the vehicle. A driver must race the vehicle that he/she presents for technical inspection.

Inspections will be based on an honor system. We are trusting that everyone follow the rules. If there is reason to suspect you may be in violation, it will be inspected.

Another driver may ask a race official to check a car.  The driver that asks must be entered in the Spec Class for that race event.

The purposes of Spec Class are affordability, rule fairness, and most of all fun racing.
