Baseline setup for my buggy and truck

Do you have a set-up that is working or not working?

Baseline setup for my buggy and truck

Postby matchambers on Tue Apr 15, 2008 7:30 am

Hello everyone, i want to come racing with you guys this year but i've never raced dirt, only carpet. so i was woundering if someone can give me a baseline setup as far as tires, springs, shock weight oil, etc etc. i have a mf2 and bk2 and i plan on running in the modd classes. what turn motors does the majority of people run out there? Mod class = no turn limit?
thanks for your help guys.

Typically the tire of choose is a Step Pin (both 2wd buggy and truck),

Terry would have a better idea for motor in truck mod class and no there is no turn limit.

2wd buggy is a 19T class

I drive AE stuff so I personally dont have setups for Losi stuff. You can search You will want something for bumpy/med to low traction.

here is a good site for different setups

http://www.petitrc.com/view_news.php?id=4622

ROAR rule is 10.5 in 2008 and will be 13.5 in 2009 (so this year there is a 10.5 limit in the 19T class)

We are having a 19t class for the buggies but the stadium truck class will be an Open class for more experienced drivers. There will be a stock truck class for our less experienced drivers. :)
